Several southwest communities will receive federal funding for their local infrastructure projects.

Cypress Hills-Grasslands MP David Anderson announced more than $6.7 million in funding to support local water treatment and road construction projects in Burstall, Morse, Herbert, Chaplin, Gull Lake, Miry Creek, and Willow Bunch.

The funding is coming from the Building Canada Fund, which is a partnership between the federal, provincial and municipal governments.  This was one of several major federal infrastructure announcements that were made today in Saskatchewan, and Anderson adds that many more are expected in the future.
