(A couple of players have a race in the rain last night at Mitchell Field)

The Tribe and Okotoks Dogs got so close to an official ball game last night, but not quite close enough.

The rain came down and postponed the game with the Dogs leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth.

Players from the Indians and Dogs took the field throughout the delay to entertain the fans and keep warm hoping for a re-start that never came.

Indians Coach Joe Carnahan says the rain is playing havok with their games against Okotoks.

They also post-poned a game between the two clubs in Okotoks last week.

He says it will be difficult to re-schedule due to the distance between the two teams and the costs involved.

Carnahan and the Indians now turn their attention to tonight's game in Moose Jaw.

Cory Buckley gets the start for Swift Current.

The tribe beat Moose Jaw on Tuesday for their first road win of the season and have won two straight games overall.

Swift Current heads to Medicine Hat on Saturday night and we will have that game for you on The Eagle 94.1 FM.
