Now trailing, the Legionnaires managed to find the equalizer midway through the third, as Caleb Griffin scored to tie the game.

Once the game was sent to overtime, it did not take very long to be decided.

Just 37 seconds into the extra frame, Matthew Jones buried his 12th goal of the season to snap the Legionnaires skid.

Swift Current goalie Caleb Lumbard was solid between the pipes for the Legionnaires.

Lumbard turned aside 37 of the 39 shots he faced.
