The City of Swift Current, the Chinook School Division and the RCMP are happy to announce they have hired a full time Liaison Officer for the Comp High School.
The officer's main focus will be on education awareness and crime prevention.
Full Interview with Susan Matkaluk "The officer's name is Jennifer LePage and she has 12 years of experience with the RCMP," said Susan Motkaluk with the City of Swift Current. "She was formerly working as a liaison officer in North Battleford, so she's got some great experience."
Motkaluk added they are thrilled to be able to deliver the commitment to a safe and caring community.
"Of course she will have full RCMP authority to do what she may need to do with respect to anything associated with crime. But essentially she will be working as a liaison between the school and the youth and the parents. It's just going to be a great addition."
LePage will begin her term this semester at the Comp High School.
