Grass fire keeps rural fire department busy.

Emergency Crews were busy responding to a fire just northeast of the city yesterday morning.

The call came in just shortly before 10:00 from a local resident after he noticed a smoke rapidly approaching his brother-in-law's farm house.

Randall Brown, who called 9-1-1 about the fire, suspects that the source of the blaze may have been lightning from yesterday morning's storm hitting dry grass.
