Swift Current residents have the chance to experience a musical onslaught tomorrow night when a dynamic hybrid metal band rocks the city.

Hailing from Edmonton, Fall of Earth is on a coast-to-coast tour promoting their sophomore album and will perform at Lucky Charlie's during the southwest leg.

Known for their distinctive twist on metal, the band's performance is sure to create an electrifying night filled with heavy growls and melodic screams courtesy of lead vocalist Alex Rye.

"[From the Ashes] is definitely an album where we're closer to finding our sound and how we want to represent ourselves with our art," Rye stated. "It's a big step up from our first album, and we're all very proud of it."

Accompanying Rye are the immensely talented Brody Bauer on guitar, Myles Packer on bass, Brendan Meilleur on drums and harmonies, and the recent addition of guitar player Matthew Lindholm.

Together the energetic quintet create a musical force to be reckoned with.

They plan to kick off the night with a nostalgic nod to the 90s in a set of grunge covers, a personal favourite of Rye's. They'll jump into heavier covers during the second set, setting the tone for the high-octane explosion of their original tunes in the third.

"Lots of people will sometimes skip these smaller towns and that's just one of the reasons why I love it," added Rye. "Because you get to bring live music to places where sometimes they don't get it as often or maybe they have to go drive to a big city. But what we like to do is to just bring it to you. We've done that with a lot of smaller towns and the reaction is usually quite positive and it's really fun. It's a lot more personal that way too, you know, being in a smaller venue, so it's just going to be a really unique experience."

Swift Current music enthusiasts should prepare for a night of headbanging as Fall of Earth takes the stage at 10 p.m. to deliver a musical experience that will resonate long after the final notes have faded away.
