Swift Current Midget AAA 57's hosted the Saskatoon Giants in a doubleheader over the weekend.

In Game 1 The 57's scored two in the first and four in the fourth to cruise to a 6-4 win.

Swift Current got two solid pitching performances from Jackson Fraser and Nolan Klein as they combined to go seven innings, allowing three earned runs and striking out seven.

Brock Wall was the standout for the 57's as he had three hits with two runs batted in.

Klein finished with two hits, including a double, and scored a run. Brody Alexandre walked twice, doubled, scored twice, and hit a home run.

Logan Fritzke doubled, scored, and picked up one run batted in.

In Game 2 the 57's continued there offensive surge as they had twelve hits on their way to an 8-3 victory.

Swift Current scored five runs in the first inning and then added three runs on a home run from Logan Friske in the fourth inning.

Friske would also get it done on the mound as well, as he pitched six innings allowing two earned runs and striking out five.

He finished up 2-4 with three runs batted in at the plate. Brody Alexandre pitched a scoreless seventh to pick up the save.

The 57's improved to 6-12, while the Giants dropped to 6-9.

The 57's will be in Regina on Sunday to visit the Wolfpack for a doubleheader.
