It was a record for attendance at Saskatchewan Parks since they moved to the modern entry calculation system in 1990.

Christine Tell, Minister of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport, says they saw an impressive 11 percent increase in the number of people visiting parks, including overnight camping and day visits.  Around 3 million people visited the parks, which is more than the 2.7 million from last year.

Tell adds that a number of parks are being upgraded for next season, including Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park, which will receive new electrified campsites and a new washroom/shower facility.
