The head of a national health organization says new medical technology being set up across Saskatchewan is already helping to save lives.

These systems are known as PACs.  They allow specialists at a major hospital to instantly see digital x-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds that are taken across town.

The systems are already set up in the Saskatoon and Cypress Health Regions.

Canada Infoway President Richard Alvarez says 80 percent of the country will have these systems by next March.
