It's new technology that could save a life.

911 operators will now be able to tell emergency crews exactly where their caller is, just by looking at a computer screen.  This new technology uses signal strength and tower location to tell where the caller is.

Director of Emergency Response for the Saskatchewan Ministry of Corrections, Public Safety, and Policing, Duane McKay says this will save rescue crews a lot of time, and it will allow them to respond to emergency situations quicker.

Testing of the new system in Saskatchewan has been completed, and the implementation is underway.
