A theft from a Swift Current business has resulted from the loss of some expensive property.

Swift Current City RCMP say that two males are suspects in the theft of cell phones.

That theft occurred in the Swift Current Mall.

The first male is described as around 6'1" with black hair slicked back, and weighed approximately 220 pounds with beard stubble. He was wearing a white shirt with a design on the front, and blue jeans.

The second stands around 5'6" tall and had a neatly kept beard and moustache. He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans with rips in the knees, black running shoes, and a black had with a logo on the front.

They are alleged to have used distraction techniques to avoid video surveillance and employees at a business in the Mall while they stole cell phones from a display table at around 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police say that the theft was reported to them after closing hours of the mall, and at that time, police determined that the accused had left the city due to another robbery being committed by the pair in Regina the same day.

Mehul Batel, the manager of the Bell kiosk in the Swift Current Mall, said that some concerns arose for him after he heard of the theft.

"I might [lock up those phones when the kiosk is closed,] otherwise I'll take it down, I won't put it on display unless [they take] strict action."

Police ask for any information on the case to be submitted to Swift Current RCMP.
