The provincial government has become critical of decision made in light of the provincial budget last month.

Earlier this week, Education Minister Don Morgan criticized the libraries for cancelling the province wide lending program after losing massive amounts of funding with the budget and for announcing layoffs. Morgan says he'd like to review the cuts and urged library officials to reconsider.

Then on Wednesday, Morgan again said he'd like to review decision made by Regina Public Schools after they announced major changes that could negatively impact families such as cutting some bus service, going with alternating days for kindergarten and eliminating some pre school classes. The school division says the had to find things to cut after loosing more than $9 million because of provincial decisions.

NDP education critic Carla Beck is firing shots, saying if the province wanted to review budget decisions then maybe the meetings should have been held before cuts were made.
