A few more details regarding an ATM theft from a business in Shaunavon over the long weekend have been released.

The Shaunavon RCMP was notified of the incident at midnight on December 30 as an alarm to the building had been set off.

After a police investigation, they determined that the suspects used a stolen truck and a chain to steal an ATM.

Photos of the two suspects have now been released from video camera footage inside the business. One suspect was wearing all black while the other had a green and blue checkered jacket with a red hoodie underneath with blue jeans.

The RCMP has since recovered the stolen truck and the ATM west of Shaunavon on rural roads. However, the cash in the ATM remains missing.

Swift Current Online asked the RCMP if the theft involved the same individuals as the Burstall Credit Union one from December and received the response below.

"Certainly this would be something our investigators would consider. However, we do not have further information we can share and both investigations are still underway."

Anyone with information on this incident is asked by the Shaunavon RCMP to contact them at 306-297-5550.
