An unusually warm day for October turned into a record breaker for several communities in the southwest.

     Swift Current set a new record with a high of 25.8 degrees, breaking the old record of 25.4, which was set in 1992.

     Maple Creek also hit a new record of 26.3, while Val Marie was the Provincial hot spot, reaching a high of 26.8.

     Provincially, Environment Canada is reporting that 8 records were broken yesterday.
