Redneck Betties: The Movie

Dead Prairies Porductions is at it again.

They recently announced a new film is in the works surrounding Swift Current's beloved roller derby team, The Redneck Betties.

"We announced it on November 1st, Redneck Betties: The Movie and we're leaving the genre up to the fans to pick. Comedy, action, horror," said Devon Oman, who co-produced Dead Praire Production's last two films, Zombegedden and Swift Nightmares.

Both horror films had great success being premiered on Halloween.

"We love movie making and all that, and we love giving to the SPCA. With Redneck Betties: The Movie, 50 percent goes to the SPCA and 50 percent goes towards Dead Prairies Productions," said Oman.

There is currently no release date for the film to keep the stress level of the producers and actors down and Oman says the premier will probably not be on Halloween this time around.
