If it's broken, busted, banged up or bent, this weekend could see it all mended.

The Repair Cafe is back again in Swift Current, once again offering a variety of experts who will mend, fix, and stitch for free.

The twice-a-year repair-a-thon welcomes household items, small mechanicals like clocks, vacuums, blenders, and other appliances. Coats and shirts can have buttons sewn back on. If you can bring it, they can fix it, find a solution, or recommend where to take it if they can't help.

As always, Lloyd Fehr will be on hand, to help with the computational, electrical, and otherwise technical projects brought his way. He and his fellow volunteers look forward to learning from these events, as they always expand their skills.

"We're all about reducing waste, fixing, broking things while fostering a sense of community and learning new skills," said Fehr.

They even tackle the delicate works folks might not expect. Even the fine intricacies of jewelry are welcome, or old radios that haven't been made in 70 years from the 1950s.

"Even furniture," remarked Fehr. "We have trained volunteers to take care of your tired stuffed animals even. You name it, our volunteers will do their best to fix it."

This Saturday, bring out the wrecked, mangled, and rusty to the Repair Cafe in Kinetic Park. Doors will be open for free at the Palliser Pavilion, with donations being accepted as given.
