The annual celebration of Scottish poet Robbie Rurns is coming up on Saturday at the Swift Current Legion Hall, which will feature a traditional Scottish meal and entertainment.

Robbie Burns Night is on January 24th, and we're celebrating, basically, Robbie Burns' birthday... he was born on the 25th," said Ian Young with the Green Braes Pipes and Drums. "Dinner is just a typical meal for the Scots, roast beef and haggis, and then we have entertainment with Highland dancing by all the young people, and then the pipes and drums, and a few speeches and talks."

The events start at 6:00pm with cocktails until 7:00pm. Tickets are available at the Vision Care Clinic on Central Ave N.
