The last individual to be sentenced in the Swift Current and area drug busts from last fall appeared in Provincial Court this morning.

Forty-seven-year-old Charles Lionel Ruest pled guilty to one count of trafficking cocaine, one breach, and one possession of proceeds of crime charge.

He was charged after selling two grams of cocaine for $180 to an undercover officer on August 6, 2008.

The judge sentenced Ruest to 18 months' incarceration.  He must also provide a DNA sample, and is not allowed to possess any firearms.
