New annual updates on three economic indicators confirm that Saskatchewan continues to be on a roll.

That information comes from the Provincial government, who has released new figures showing that Saskatchewan leads the nation in percentage growth for wholesale trade and retail sales, and is ranked second in export sales growth.

Enterprise and Innovation Minister Lyle Stewart says we're a commodity resource-based economy, and we need to take advantage of this upswing in commodity prices around the world to diversify the economy more and more.  He says that's what the government is trying to do.

Retail sales in the province for 2007 reached a new record level, totalling $13 billion.
