SaskTel is launching a new high speed Internet service in Saskatchewan.

High Speed Fusion Internet is a fixed wireless LTE TDD service that will offer download speeds up to 5 MBPS, and is to replace Wireless Broadband Internet on twelve towers, including those in Climax, Hodgeville, Orkney and Mankota.

"This will provide them with a very good replacement service for their wireless broadband Internet," said Michelle Englot, Director of External Communications for the Crown Corporation. "We will be announcing a deployment schedule in November, and then once we know the deployment schedule, we will be contacting customers who receive service from the 12 towers. We will have to switch out their equipment and get the new equipment installed for them."

WBBI customers will have at least 30 days to migrate to High Speed Fusion as it becomes available.
