It will be an emotional afternoon in Prelate.

The historical St. Angela's Academy for Girls will close it's doors on Saturday after 88 years of being in operation.

Executive Director, Sister Rosetta Reiniger says they are holding a farewell banquet this afternoon at 4:30 for students, staff, family members, the parish, and a few members of the public.

Forty-one girls enrolled at St. Angela's Academy this year.  Fifteen graduated, and the rest will return to their hometown schools next year.

The school is one of eight accredited historical high schools in Saskatchewan.
