It will be a rematch of the round-robin finale between Canada and Scotland for a shot at gold at the Ford World Women's Curling Championships in Swift Current.

The Eve Muirhead foursome took the 3 vs 4 page playoff game over Sweden with an 8-3 win in eight ends.  Scotland stole three in the fifth end, and was on cruise control from there.

They now go on to the semi-finals, where they will play Jennifer Jones and Team Canada, who beat the Scots in their final round-robin game on Thursday night.

Muirhead says it's going to be another tough game tonight, and it will take all four of their heads on the ice to get focused and make key shots.  They can't afford to make any slip-ups, because they know the Jones rink will come out fighting.

The Cecilia Ostlund team from Sweden will play for bronze tomorrow morning against tonight's semi-final loser.  Ostlund says it's disappointing to lose the game because they had a chance to win, and a chance at gold, but they are still happy to be in the playoffs, so they'll just enjoy tomorrow's game and try to do better.

Ostlund is already picking Scotland to win tonight, and beat Germany for gold tomorrow.  She says Eve is a really great curler, and she thinks Eve will be at the top of this tournament.

The winner of tonight's semi-final will take on Germany in tomorrow's gold medal final, while the loser takes on Sweden in the earlier bronze medal game.

The semi-final is already sold out, and it starts at 5:00pm at the Credit Union iplex.
