The Shaunavon branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will be holding their door-to-door Poppy Drive tonight starting at 6:00pm in Shaunavon.
"We'll have members of the Shaunavon 4-H that will be helping, and they will be going door-to-door with the poppies and asking for donations," said Charmaine Bernath with the Shaunavon Poppy Committee. "We've traditionally granted scholarships, and money has gone to the cenotaph, the Border Health Centre in Climax and the Eastend Health Centre, but it's supposed to be used for items that will benefit veterans."
After tonight, poppies will be available at various Shaunavon businesses and bracelets will also be available at Shaunavon Rexall Drug Store on Centre Street.
