After a six month investigation by the RCMP, a middle-aged woman has been arrested for obstruction of justice.

Connie Oakes, a 53-year-old from the Nekaneet First Nations was arrested on May 5 and was charged with one count of obstruction of justice.

Oakes was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Friday, June 8.

RCMP said that this charge is in relation to an April 5, 2017 incident that Oakes was a part of.
