After a chilly Easter weekend in the southwest, warm weather is back on its way.

With nearly a 20 degree-swing from last weekend to this upcoming weekend, Swift Current is set for highs in the mid to upper-teens to round out the week.

Along with high temperatures, Environment Canada Meteorologist John Paul Cragg shares the projections for precipitation to see if April showers will bring May flowers this year in the southwest corner of the province.

"It'll be midway through next week before we have any major storms in the southwest. However, those aren't guaranteed and there's not a big signal that the models are showing to suggest that there's any big system moving into southwest Saskatchewan," he said. "That being said, this is April, and we can some pretty big storms this time of year - so things could change up pretty quickly."
