There were five badminton teams participating at the SHSAA provincial championships in Humboldt on May 14.  

It was tough competition however, as none of the southwest teams were able to advance to the medal round.
    
In girls' singles, Heather Caswell (Frontier) was 4th in pool B with a record of 0-3.  Heather had losses to Regina O'Neill (2-0), Debden (2-0) and Saskatoon Tommy Douglas (2-0).
    
In boys' singles, Taron Ham (Frontier) was 3rd in pool B with a record of 1-2.  Taron had a win over Wadena (2-1) but losses to Regina Thom (2-0) and Saskatoon Walter Murray (2-1).
    
In girls' doubles, the team of Payton Stimson/Kyla Tumbach (Leader) were 3rd in pool B with a record of 1-2.  The girls beat Naicam (2-0) but had losses to Regina O'Neill (2-1) and Leoville (2-0).
    
In boys' doubles, Patrick Ehnisz and Aden Hudec (Fox Valley) were 3rd in pool B with a record of 1-2.  The boys had a win over Humboldt (2-0) but losses to Regina Luther (2-0) and Saskatoon Mount Royal (2-0).
    
In mixed doubles, Raelyn Schneider and Kage Hellman (Fox Valley ) were 4th in pool B with a record of 0-3.  They had losses to Regina O'Neill (2-1), Carrot River (2-1) and Leoville (2-0).
    
With provincials now in the books, the high school badminton season has come to a close.
