The Town of Shaunavon is embarking on a process to develop a Strategic Plan to help guide it over the next four years.

The process will see residents, businesses and community groups being invited to take part in a number of interactive events during the next few months.

Tara Fritz, Shaunavon Town Administrator, says, "We're looking at initiating a variety of sessions to engage the community to as much valuable feedback as possible. We're looking at utilizing community survey questionnaires and information booths throughout the community at various events. And we're hoping to have an Open House which will engage people to come and have discussion and give us their feedback."

The Town has contracted MuniMentor, a Saskatchewan based consulting and management development company to assist them, and Fritz says the Project Team will include Town Council and Administration staff.

Shaunavon Mayor, Grant Greenslade, says they are excited about the project and are encouraging people to help them understand the issues that are important to the community.

Citizens will soon be able to find out more about the input sessions on the Town of Shaunavon website.
