Students looking to graduate from a post-secondary program in the upcoming year will benefit.
A five year $10,000 Graduate Tax Exemption was introduced in yesterday’s provincial budget, which can be combined with other existing exemptions to give grads $20,000 of tax-free income.
It was also announced yesterday that there would be another tuition freeze for a third consecutive year.
Student Council President at the Cypress Hills College, Ray Funk, says he’d like to see more exemptions to those who still remain in school.
