Swift Current Mayor, Sandy Larson, says she’s focusing on the positives.

The provincial budget announced yesterday has resulted in some questions from local cities.

Swift Current Mayor, Sandy Larson, says while the spending figures are positive, there is some confusion about how different areas of the province will benefit.

Larson adds that the $155 million in business tax cuts are very positive for the economy and the Chamber of Commerce in the city. She also says that money going to the CAIS Program and the Crop Insurance Program will be a benefit for the area, as Southwest Saskatchewan is predominantly agriculture based.
