Weekend calls for service February 3 - 5
11:04 PM - While on patrol, officers issued a ticket to the driver of a black Dodge Charger for speeding.
12:38 AM - Report of a male causing issues at his place of employment after being fired for consuming alcohol on the job. Police attended the business and located the intoxicated male in the parking lot. The male was arrested for public intoxication and held in custody until he was sober. No charges were laid in relation to the incident.
2:32 AM - 911 call from a male who sounded intoxicated reporting his girlfriend and child missing from their residence. Police were able to locate the mother and child at a friend's residence.
9:32 AM - Request to assist the caller with obtaining her belongings from a residence she is on police ordered conditions not to attend. The caller was able to retrieve her property.
10:51 AM - Request to conduct a wellbeing check on a female. The caller advised they had dropped the female off at home and her boyfriend had come outside very upset and yelling. Officers attended the home and confirmed all was well.
12:30 PM - While on patrol, officers issued a written warning to the driver of a red Chevrolet Silverado for failing to wear their seat belt properly.
12:56 PM - Report of a female checking vehicle doors on Herbert Street West approximately 45 minutes prior. Officers made patrols but due to the time delay were unable to locate anyone matching the description provided by the caller.
2:58 PM - 911 hang up call from a business on the 1800 block of Memorial Drive. Officers attended the business and confirmed no emergency was taking place and 911 must have been dialed by mistake.
6:53 PM - While on patrol, officers conducted a traffic stop on a white Cadillac CTS. The driver of the vehicle was determined to be a suspended driver and was issued a ticket under the Traffic Safety Act.
8:17 PM - 911 hang up call from a commercial dwelling unit on the 1100 block of South Service Road East. Officers attended the location and confirmed no emergency was taking place and 911 must have been dialed by mistake.
9:47 PM - Report of the caller hearing what sounded like gun shots on the 0 block of Robert Street West. A short time later the caller contacted police again to say that they think maybe instead it was fireworks that they heard. Officers made patrols but found nothing suspicious in the area.
2:14 AM - Report of an alarm at a business on the 100 block of Alexander Drive. Officers attended the business and confirmed the alarm to be false after ensuring the building was secure.
3:07 AM - Report of an injured deer on the #1 Highway off-ramp. Officers attended the location to take care of the animal and SERM was notified in order to retrieve it.
7:59 AM - Found knife was turned into the Detachment and placed into lost and found.
8:55 AM - Report of a female repeatedly contacting the caller and would like her to stop. Police spoke to the female who was told to stop contacting her.
9:20 AM - 911 call of a theft of fuel from a business on the 400 block of North Service Road East that occurred approximately three hours prior. This matter is still under investigation.
11:24 AM - Request to conduct a wellbeing check on the caller's wife due to some issue between her and their daughter at the residence. Officers attended the home and confirmed all was well despite the mother and daughter having a disagreement.
12:05 PM - Report of the caller's cellphone being stolen out of his unlocked truck sometime overnight. Later in the day the caller informed police he'd located his phone, undamaged in a dumpster after using an app in order to track the phone.
12:23 PM - Report of a theft from the caller's residence by a female known to him. This matter is still under investigation.
2:14 PM - 911 misuse call from a business on the 400 block of North Service Road East. The caller was looking for a police file number in relation to a theft he had reported earlier in the day. The male was given a verbal warning about the proper use of 911.
3:31 PM - Report of a black Ford F150 driving behind businesses in the industrial area and then stopping and appearing to take pictures of the businesses. Officers made patrols but were unable to locate any vehicles matching the description provided.
9:04 PM - While on patrol, officers issued a ticket to the driver of a black Chevrolet Silverado for disobeying a stop sign. The driver was also issued a written warning for holding, viewing, using or manipulating an electronic device while operating a motor vehicle.
11:53 PM - Request to conduct a wellbeing check on the caller's ex-husband as he's not answering her phone calls. Officers attended the residence, and he was fine; he had his phone on do not disturb.
