Swift Nightmares Scaring Up Funding

You can help make some Swift Current Nightmares.

The crew behind the local film production called Swift Current Nightmares is holding a Beer and Wings night at the Buffalo Brew Pub from 6-9pm.

The project is a follow up to last year's Zombageddon and this time features three different short films.

"I think we went this way because it gave more people creative input," said Devon Oman, director of the segment called No Laughing Matter. "There's three different writers, three different directors... that way people can get a chance to do something else instead of just one thing."

He was hopeful Zombageddon would lead to more films.

"I kind of envisioned that we were going to do something else," Oman said. "I didn't know how fast it was going to be... I think it's because everybody is so passionate about making movies and we have a great crew. It's something that we all believe in."

The film is scheduled for a Halloween debut with money raised going to the Swift Current SPCA.

Proceeds from the Beer and Wing event tonight go towards the film's budget.
