A swine flu outbreak that killed 100 people in Mexico has spread to Canada.

Six cases have been confirmed in British Columbia and Nova Scotia, but are said to be mild in nature and all patients are recovering.

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Health is advising the public, especially those who have been to Mexico recently, to watch closely for any signs of respiratory illness, and do what they can to prevent the spread of viruses.

Health officials ask those who may be showing flu-like symptoms to visit their doctor, or call the province's Healthline for more information.
