It's a new month, but it's the same faces helping run Taillight Tuesdays in Swift Current.

The folks from Rogue Cruisers have continued their weekly Show n' Shine at the Living Sky Casino, and will once again be accepting donations for the Swift Current SPCA.

Yesterdays gathering finished things up with a cruise around the city, which inevitably ended up with them filling the Diary King parking lot with classic muscle, chrome, and pinstripes.

Enjoying a cool treat after a ride around was Corey Shultz, an organizer from Rogue Cruisers for Taillight Tuesdays.

"We had to go for a couple of tours around town and come for a quick ice cream at Dairy King and enjoy the fellowship around town," said Shultz.

The evening ride is something not everyone participates in, but a lot of folks get behind the wheel and enjoy the parade through town. Showing off the project car is the cherry on top after all the work that goes into loving and maintaining them.

Ending things off with ice cream from Dairy King means that they can actually get a cherry on top to end the night. For Shonnon Klassen, the owner-operator of Dairy King, the cars are always a welcome sight, helping pad out what was already a busy evening.

"I would say there's probably been about 250 vehicles [between the car club and regular customers]," said Klassen. "Plus some walk-in traffic."

The drive through line was so long it was wrapping all the way around the mini golf course. The drive through line was so long it was wrapping all the way around the mini golf course.

This last gathering had the local SPCA attending, collecting some donations in person. Shultz encourages people to come with not just cash, but items the SPCA could find a use for as well.

"If you look on our Facebook page, there's a list there that they've given us of things in need," said Shultz. "There's everything from wet cat food to reams of the paper cause they need paper for the printers, and those sorts of thing."

Taillight Tuesdays are every Tuesday this summer, starting between 6-6:30 p.m. at the Living Sky Casino, with folks peeling out around 8-8:30 p.m. It's free to enter a vehicle, free to walk around, and free to enjoy.
