The Saskatchewan Teacher's Federation (STF) has confirmed teachers will not be working at the polls in this Fall's provincial election.

In a news release to Swift Current Online, the STF confirmed that they have spoken with the Ministry of Education, Chief Electoral Officer, and school boards to affirm that teachers would not be mandated or assigned to work the election.

While school divisions are providing access to schools for polling stations, this does not include access to teachers

Elections Saskatchewan will be responsible for appropriate cleaning and disinfecting measures before students and staff return to school after the election.
