There's been a tragic end to a three-week search for a 26-year-old Swift Current man.

Colton Koop was found deceased this morning in the Swift Current Creek.

On November 16, between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., a red pick-up truck police believed Koop might have been driving went off 6th Avenue Northeast, through a guardrail, and came to rest in the water.

The RCMP Underwater Recovery Team was at the creek close to the scene of the crash Thursday night, Friday, and today.

The RCMP said Koop was located under the ice upstream from where the truck came to rest in the water.

The Swift Current City RCMP are continuing their investigation regarding the motor-vehicle collision.
