It's been an all too familiar scene in Saskatchewan lately, another day of severe weather.
Storms struck three areas of the southwest yesterday. Early in the afternoon, a strong storm drifted into the Consul area, and another came in around Val Marie.
The most significant was a storm in the Leader area that prompted a tornado warning from Environment Canada. Meteorologist Mike Russo said, although there were no reports from the public of funnel clouds or tornadoes, doppler radar indicated a rotation signature with the storm, which led them to issue the warning.
Russo says the trough that brought in the storms is moving slowly eastward. As a result, there is a possibility that there will be more severe weather today for the Swift Current area, and areas to the east, including Moose Jaw and Regina.
