Live Christmas music, steaming hot chocolate, and crackling bonfires—the town of Shaunavon has it all and more, this Boomtown Christmas.

The annual community celebration kicks off as early as 10 a.m. tomorrow with a Poker Walk, running until 4 p.m. Folks have the chance to win up to $300 in Chamber checks while playing a hand and shopping their favourite local businesses.

Also running throughout the day are wagon rides, an antique tradeshow, and the Grand Coteau’s tree lighting.

But there’s one event that really lights up the evening: the Parade of Lights.  

Santa leads the floats down Main Street at 7 p.m., with all kinds of moving objects decked out with lights to follow. Folks can line up on the streets to watch or join in on the fun themselves; there’s still time to register through the Shaunavon Chamber of Commerce.
