UPDATE 3:00 p.m.

Swift Current City RCMP responded to a call at 10:55 a.m. about a two vehicle collision at the intersection of 2nd Avenue NE and Cheadle Street E.

Reports state that a brown Jeep Cherokee proceeded through a red light and collided with a red BMW.

No one was injured as a result of the collision, however both vehicles required towing.

The driver of the Jeep was issued a ticket for failing to stop at an intersection displaying a red light.

A two-car collision in Swift Current may have residents experiencing traffic delays over the noon hour. 

Around 11:00 a.m. an incident took place at the intersection of 2nd Avenue NE and Cheadle St E. 

A red BMW and a Jeep Cherokee appeared to be involved in the collision. 

First responders were on the scene, including the Swift Current Fire Department, Hutch Ambulance Swift Current, and Swift Current City RCMP. 

The matter is still under investigation by the RCMP.
