It was a special night for two special gentlemen.

Art Wallman and Dr. Lawrence Reimer were honoured Friday night at the Scotiabank Humanitarian Awards for lifetime achievement.

Wallman spent 36 years as a dj and personality on CKSW/CJSN radio despite physical challenges and became an inspiration to many, developing a large and loyal following across Saskatchewan. He says he was humbled and very thankful for such an honour:

Reimer has been a dentist in Swift Current for many years and has donated much time to providing dental care to disadvantaged people in third world countries.  He says giving back is something he has always believed in and although he never does it to be recognized, it was gratifying to recieve such an award:

Friday night's gala event drew a sold out crowd to the Sky Centre to honour Wallman and Reimer and included greetings from  Premier Brad Wall and Lieutenant Governor Gordon Barnhart.
