The Diamond Energy Female Midget AAA Wildcats' annual preseason tournament brought success for both the Wildcats and a pair of local players on U16 Team Sask.

The Wildcats went 3-0.

In the opener, they shut out Pembina Valley 3-0 with goals from Samantha Thompson, Sara Kendall, and Baylee Kirwan.

Game 2 was a 5-2 win over U16 Team Manitoba. Kirwan scores twice, with singles from Ryleigh White, Brooklyn Rublee, and Ashlee Wolfe.

The final brought a one-sided win over Pilot Mound - a 6-1 effort.

Kirwan potted another pair, with Kendall, White, Thompson, and Gracie Georget scoring once.

Meanwhile, Wildcats defenceman Shelby Rublee, Gull Lake forward Sadie Keller, and U16 Team Sask went 3-0 as well.

They defeated U16 Manitoba 6-2, shut out Pilot Mound 4-0, then convincingly blanked Pembina Valley 9-0.

The Wildcats' next preseason contest is September 18 on the road against the Notre Dame Hounds.
