Upgrades to electrical systems in Swift Current will be starting next week with focus on the east central area.

     Mitch Minken, Director of Light and Power, says they will be upgrading the power poles and lines throughout the city over the next two to three years.

     Minken adds, once the upgrades are finished around the city, they will upgrade the system in the downtown area.
