The Cypress Health Region is continuing to advise the public that x-ray services at the Leader Hospital will be unavailable until further notice.

Officials with the Health Region say that a water line located in the diagnostic imaging department burst last Wednesday and caused considerable damage to the x-ray equipment.

A replacement x-ray unit has been ordered for the Leader Hospital, but it is not expected to arrive until the end of September.

In the meantime, x-ray service arrangements have been made with facilities in neighbouring communities, including the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current.
