Year in Review: By-Election in Shaunavon

In March, the Town of Shaunavon held a By-Election to elect a new member of their Town Council.

Long time Town Councillor, Mark Benesh had stepped down and three candidates were vying for the position.
Rhonda Bellefeuille, Garret Thienes and Joel Sopp all put their names into the ring, with Bellefeuille coming out victorious, receiving 161 of the 316 votes cast.

"It's been my experience that your first little while on Council is more of a listening period than anything else. You have lots to learn, lots to absorb, and that's more or less my intention, to learn the way the Town Council operates," said Bellefeuille.
