 Moose Jaw High School Football season kicks off today with the Swift Current Comp Colts hosting Estevan.

The Elecs knocked Swift Current out of the playoffs last season.

The Colts offence will feature a fourth year starter at quarterback in Josh Siemens.  He threw for 552 yards on 55-of-144 passing in 2010, but also had 10 interceptions.

Murdoch expects big things from junior receiver Jaylen Mayall.  He finished sixth in the league in receiving yards last year with 15 catches for 170 yards.

Elecs Head Coach Marco Ricci thinks it's important to set the tone for the first game this season.



The Elecs are facing some adversity as they lost one of their captains, Nick Flegel, to a season ending injury last week.

Ricci says Fidel is a huge loss.



The Elecs knocked the Colts out of the playoffs last season.

Opening kickoff is 4:30pm at the Comp.
