The Evans Brothers Home Hardware Legionnaires were edged by Yorkton 4-3 in Midget AAA action Tuesday night.

Connor Odelein scored twice and Kevin Bendall added a goal for the Legionnaires, and Caleb Lumbard made 33 saves in the loss.

Swift Current will wrap up the season Friday night when they host the Notre Dame Hounds.

In other minor hockey Tuesday, the K-Motel Midget Hurricanes beat the Regina Rangers 6-4 at home to finish the regular season. Ryan Evans had a hat trick and Carter Tangen scored twice and added a helper to lead the Hurricanes' offense. Rhett Carlson also scored for Swift Current.

The Hurricanes will wrap up the provincial south final on Friday night at home against the Notre Dame Hounds. Swift Current leads the two-game total-point series 4-2.

Tonight, the Bert Legault Royal LePage Female Midget Titans will host the Moose Jaw Mavericks to wrap up the first round of league playoffs. The Titans hold a 1-0 lead in the two-game total-point series.

At the Canada Winter Games in Prince George, Team Saskatchewan dropped a 2-1 decision to Nova Scotia Tuesday night to wrap up round-robin in Men's Hockey. The team, coached by Broncos Associate Coach Josh Dixon, finished the preliminary round with an 0-3 record and needs to win a qualification game tonight to stay in the playoff hunt.
