Christopher Milo

Riders kicker and punter Christopher Milo has been named the CFL's Special Teams Player of the Week.

In last weekends win over Hamilton, Milo had three field goals, three kick offs for 105 yards, and eight punts for 412 yards, including a punt for 108 yards which tied a CFL record set back in 1977.

The rookie kicker has tallied 20 field goals, 44 kickoffs for an average of 55.9 yards, and 69 punts for an average of 42.8 yards in 11 games.

 

The Riders close out their season Friday in Edmonton.

Meanwhile, the Saskatchewan Roughrider announced their nominees for the CFL awards.

This year’s nominees are: Weston Dressler (Most Outstanding Player), Chris Getzlaf (Outstanding Canadian), Chris Best (Outstanding Offensive Lineman), Jerrell Freeman (Outstanding Defensive Player), Craig Butler (Outstanding Rookie) and Milo (Outstanding Special Teams Player).
