It took every second the game had to offer before the Okotoks Oilers were able to top the Kabos Bantam Raiders in the semi-final of the Swift Current Bantam tournament on Saturday.
The two teams battled hard to finish regulation and both overtime periods in a 1-1 tie. The Oilers then won the shootout 2-1 to earn a spot in the A-side final on Sunday.
Cody Spagrud was the only Raider to score in the shootout. Swift Current outshot Okotoks 29-18.
The Raiders went 2-0 in round robin play thanks to a 4-1 win over the Saskatoon Outlaws and a 14-2 win over Weyburn. They'll play the Regina Pat Blues in the A-side consolation final at 2pm on Sunday. The Oilers take on the Calgary Edge Academy in the final.
All games in the 12-team tournament are played at the Fairview Arenas.
