St. Mike's Beats Ice in Memorial Cup Semifinal

 

Former Broncos Captain Cody Eakin and the Kootenay Ice fell short in their quest for the Memorial Cup, losing the semifinal to the host Mississauga St. Michael's Majors 3-1.

The Majors take on the Saint John Sea Dogs in tomorrow's championship game.

This more than likely ends a stellar WHL career for the 19-year-old Eakin, a draft pick for the NHL's Washington Capitals.
