Swift Current wrestler Aleah Nickel did it again on the national stage.
No stranger to podium finishes, the Swift Current Titans Wrestling Club standout earned a silver medal at the 2019 Junior Canadian Wrestling Championships in Saskatoon over the weekend.
Competing in the Junior Women Freestyle 59 kg division, Nickel got off to a solid start.
In her first match against Saskatoon's Angela Aalbers, the Swift Current Comp Ardens wrestler won 10-0 by Tech Fall.Â

She then won by Fall over Guelph, ON wrestler Esmee Hotson in her second match.
Into Round 3, Nickel ran into the eventual gold medal-winner, Emma Parker from Saskatoon, losing via decision in a 4-4 scored match.
Nickel then dominated bronze medal-winner Makayla Levy (Nova Scotia) by Fall in her final match.
