Swift Current Broncos alumni Dale Weise and Michal Rozsival each earned victories on the first night of the NHL playoffs.
Weise and his Montreal Canadiens pulled out a hard-earned 4-3 win over the Ottawa Senators. Former Broncos forward Zack Smith wasn't in Ottawa's lineup.
Rozsival's dump-in led to Duncan Keith's overtime winning goal for Chicago as they erased a 3-0 deficit to beat Nashville 4-3.
Both teams lead their first round series 1-0.
Broncos alumnus Adam Lowry makes his NHL playoff debut tonight when his Winnipeg Jets visit Anaheim.
